Ketchikan Animal Protection

The location is nice and on a quiet part of town, and the parking is good. The animals are well cared for and maintained, the staff are friendly and helpful with questions or concerns. The adoption fees vary on animal and the process 9s usually fairly quick. It's a safe place if you need to surrender an animal or if they got lost. They have some of the friendliest dogs I've seen, well worth a visit if your looking for a furry friend to give a forever home.

This shelter is amazing! The Directors were outstanding with helping me out. I was in need this holiday. And they helped me keep my dog so I didn’t have to get rid of him. Eddie and ty were awesome! They only had 1 dog in the shelter this Christmas. Her name was sassy. Just giving a shout out to this animal shelter. I recommend it if your looking for a cat. The cats need homes also😥 plz help these animals get homes! Merry Christmas and happy holidays! Thanks again Eddie! I owe you!

Great experience adopting our little guy. Helpful and kind, especially when I was facing a shortning deadline catching a flight out of town. He charmed TSA when we caught our Alaska flight. He is an active and happy boy. Thank you!

I do not like the fact that they charge you 80$ to get your pet back. There are people who will just grab your animal and take it there. (My sister) but other than her I don't know who else would do that. Plus the animals seem so upset cooped all day with dogs and cats next to them. It's kinda a nightmare for animals.
