I've been going to kernick animal hospital for so many years. I 1st went to Dr kernick then to Dr Messenger. The best!

My dog has been going here for a few years and at first I was happy with how these vets handled my dog during her appointments. But at my dog’s last appointment the vet told my mom and I that my dog either had to have her leg amputated or have surgery and didn’t give any other solutions for her. My mom then took her dog, Phoebe, here for an appointment because her dog has swelling on her chest and was in a lot of pain. Any time we would pick her up she would yelp in pain. When my mom took Phoebe to the vet he said there was nothing he could do for her. He didn’t even run any tests or give her any pain medication. My mom and her fiancé called a different vet and the phone receptionist said Phoebe’s symptoms sounded like an infection. They had an appointment to help treat the infection but u

I just moved to Pittsburgh and I was looking for a new vet for my babies. Kernick came highly recommended by my neighbors. I took in Freya for her first checkup since getting her out of the shelter. Kernick Animal Hospital was so good with her! Some of the medical staff at the shelter didn’t want to work with Freya because they were afraid of her. But the staff at Kernick was all so gentle and sweet to her and Freya was so well behaved thanks to that. I’ve also taken 2 of my cats in for checkups and annual vaccinations and the staff was amazing with them as well. They were able to get us in fast. My 2 mini Sheepadoodles had first time teethcleaning. They were treating well and didn't appear to be traumatized by the experience. Very gentle and professional staff.

Recently switched to Dr. Kernick and I am very pleased. Friendly and affordable pricing. Most recently my small Papillion had many teeth extracted. It went very well. I highly recommend this vet.
