KC Pet Project - Petco Adoption Center

Impossible NOT to like this place. I adopted the 2 best kittens I have ever had here. Very relaxed, friendly environment to shop for pet supplies. Helpful staff, great location. Lots to love.

I adopted my first kitty from KC Pet Project and everyone there was super helpful. My baby, who I renamed Oreo, is the sweetest. It was also super convenient being able to buy scratchers, food, and other necessary cat supplies at the same spot. Would recommend to anyone looking for a quick and easy adoption process !

5 STARS! Came in at 2:00 with no animal came out at 2:40 with a new addition! The adoption was so easy and fast. The staff were amazing. I cannot remember the woman who helped us in the back with the adoption but she was very nice and had a lot of good information for us as we were adopting. The cashier was very sweet as we checked out the supplies we would need for our cat. This is our beautiful girl Lilo! We weren't sure if she was good with kids since she was surrendered not too long ago, but so far she does not seem to mind the kids. She fit right into our family so easy as if she lived here for years. We are in love with her! Thank you for our new family member!!

I had such a wonderful experience adopting a cat for my family! The volunteer was very personable and professional. The facility was clean and it was very apparent that the animals are very well loved and cared for. The adoption process was very smooth and the convenience of being located in a pet store really helped with me stocking up on my cat supplies. Overall a wonderful experience, and if we ever are ready for another furry family member, I know exactly where to go!

Heard a lot of bad things about Petco as a company, but decided to take LO and look around. Very sweet woman working in the adoption center; she seems very passionate about working with animal's and finding them good homes. Front cashier was friendly and knowledgeable as well. She answered some questions I had about different products for different animals. Service was a 10/10, cleanliness 10/10. I just feel bad for all the crammed fish in the tiny tanks; don't they need bigger tanks? Or the animals on display like ferrets, birds, guineas. How long are they kept confined like that? Should all animals require an adoption process?
