I adopted a shelter dog and he was thought to be part Great Dane which is why I rescued him (I’ve had Great Danes for 30 years). I have trained the breed and knew the breed very well. I did DNA test and the dog I adopted ended up being Boxer and Pit Bull. WAY more energetic than I was expecting and a VERY HIGH prey drive. I reached out to Trisha of K9’s In Harmony for help since this dog de-feathered one of my hens and attacked both my cats. I did not have the heart to take him back to the shelter (he had been there for 7 months before I adopted him). I chose to do the board and train option and I am SO HAPPY that I did. My shelter dog, Harvey got to be properly trained with an e-collar and then I was trained on how to use the e-collar. At first, I was really scared about it becaus
Trisha is a very knowledgeable experienced trainer. She has a true love for training. I would not trust anyone else with my dog.
Our recently adopted heeler mix had major issues with anxiety and reactivity. Enough so that as the shelter staff handed me the leash to walk him out the door, they also handed me a bottle of Prozac. We almost changed our minds about him, but decided that we can handle him. Well, it became apparent that he was beyond our abilities. As time went on, he was showing he was a biter and started attacking other dogs (no injuries, thank goodness). He was becoming dangerous! So worried about liability, I’m now ashamed to admit that I had decided to put him down. Through many tears, because Jax and I had become very attached to each other, I searched online for help, desperately seeking hope that would prevent me from making THAT appointment with the vet. That’s when I found Trisha. After s
Trisha helped me out with my Dalmatian Olly. He has a few really bad habits I was having a hard time correcting. He’s been home for 4 days and what a Huge difference. She also made it very simple for me to understand how I continue his training. If you love your dog but have some issues that are hard to ignore that are daily this training is 100% worth it.
After struggling for months to get my large senior dog into my new suv and to get into the elevator at my apartment complex; I came acrossTrisha with K9’s In Harmony. She came with confidence and kindness to guide King (and me) through the steps for success; and after just two sessions King easily climbs the steps into the suv and already has gotten into the elevator! She is simply amazing. King and I both love her calm demeanor and we look forward to her next visit.
