K9 REHAB LLC

Bowser originally came into our (Animal Control) care after biting his former owners who we believe were abusing him. He waited for months in our kennel before recently findng someone who wanted to adopt him but he was returned to us within 24 hours of being in that home. Although he has never shown any signs of aggression with us, he is a pitbull with a bite history, so none of the shelters we've reached out to are willing to take him. He has been getting increasingly more stressed and anxious the longer we've had him and he was scheduled to be put down before we found K9 Rehab. They gave us hope that he is still adoptable despite his history and gave us the tools we need to help him become a more peaceful and calm dog. lt has only been a week since we finished the 2 day training seminar

We adopted Banjo, a cunucu from Aruba when he was about 12 weeks old. He was such a sweet puppy but as he got older we noticed he had a lot of anxiety. He would shake, sometimes his teeth would chatter, but most concerning, he attacked our other rescue, a big lab mix, multiple times. Once the attack was so bad she needed 8 stitches in her leg. The attacks seemed random, unpredictable, and not always around food. The last time he bit her ear in front of our kids was the last straw. We contacted Justin for 2 days of in-home training. We learned SO much about how to properly manage both dogs, and take control so they can just relax and be pets. After the 2 days of training, Banjo was still having trouble regulating his body, so we sent him for a week at Justin’s rehab. This gave us extra time

We took our 4‑year‑old Pitty to the K9 Rehab Bad Dogs Only Seminar, and the behavior changes have been night and day. No more resource guarding, no jumping on guests, no leash pulling, and her separation anxiety is completely gone. Our dog hadn’t used a crate in over three years, and now after the seminar she loves it so much we can’t get her to come out! Justin and his staff are personable, incredibly knowledgeable, and truly dedicated to helping dogs build confidence and become their best selves. 10/10 would highly recommend. If you are debating on doing this...just do it!

K9 Rehab has not only transformed my dogs life, but it has taught me how to be a better and more responsible dog owner to set my dog up for a safer, more peaceful, better quality of life. I can’t say enough good things about their programs and Justin’s way of teaching. I have gone to countless trainers in the past and seen little to no difference in my dog Jovi’s behavior, and never learned how to be a better owner. Within just 1 class at K9 Rehab, my dog Jovi was already learning and showing major behavioral improvements. The K9 Rehab team make me feel confident and safe despite the former stresses of owning a reactive dog. I am so excited to continue seeing our progress in the next few months! Highly recommend. Owner and staff are incredibly knowledgeable. They work with you and your dog to ensure proper training techniques to support success. Theodore has learned boundaries and self soothing techniques to ease the anxiety and destructive behavior. We are only 3 weeks in to the 2 months and could not be more impressed and relieved that Theodore is learning good behaviors and how to be a calmer, happier dog.
