There are not enough words to say how grateful we are for this place. We feel blessed beyond measure to have had Joel, Jackie, and their wonderful team caring for/training our Moose this last month. Joel is such a rare treasure uniquely gifted in understanding animal behavior. The love for each dog he trains is evident… An 8-month-old Great Dane puppy returned to us so obedient to his newly learned commands that he is turning heads already(for the right reasons). Moose lacked confidence going in, and came out with a smile on his face doing what he loves - Working & getting paychecks:) He’s purpose driven now with passion when it comes to listening, and way calmer too. Joel and his team did an amazing job training our dog Hank! They treated him like one of their own dogs. I could tell he was happy and he loves to go back there. He use to pull on the leash making it so hard to even want to walk him. Now he is able to walk by my side without pulling on the leash. They also trained him to sit and stay when we open the door to people. He no longer chews up my children’s toys. It has been a life changing experience for both us and our dog. Now we are able to understand each other and have a positive relationship. I highly recommend Joel Slaven’s Dog Lodge!

If youre looking for a reliable and 5 star place to board your furry family member or members, then this is the place. Jackie was super awesome with walking us through what to expect when we boarded our Nico here. Joel is a true legend as well and you can tell just how much care and thought he and his team has put into this property. Nico spent 7 nights here and we got updates and video of him having a blast while we were gone. We're going to board him here again come the holidays and know he will be well taken care of. What a place!

I boarded my two golden retrievers here for several days while I was out of town, and we had a fantastic experience with Joel, Jackie, and the rest of the staff. It's clear they love the dogs. One of my dogs runs a little anxious, but I was thrilled to see that when I picked her up she looked completely calm and comfortable in her surroundings. The kennels are much larger than you'll find anywhere else, and they're also very clean. It is clear my dogs were well taken care of, and they were very tired when we left... which is always the sign of a good time. They were also very responsive, and great to check in with me during my trip. I got several pictures from staff! We absolutely love Joel Slaven’s Dog Lodge! The staff is kind, caring, and always positive. The facility is clean, well-kept, and feels very comfortable—it’s truly a wonderful environment for dogs. Our pup, Breck, completed training here and the results have been incredible. He’s so much calmer, more confident, and his social skills with other dogs have noticeably improved. He thrives when he knows his “job” and gets to follow commands—he truly loves the structure. We also board Breck here and always feel completely at ease knowing he’s in great hands. This place is amazing—can’t recommend it enough!
