Director Mark Byrnes and Animal Control Officer Linnea Heald provided exceptional assistance with a stray cat that my mother-in-law took in temporarily. Although she was unable to keep the cat, the process at the local animal shelter was seamless. ACO Linnea's gentle demeanor with the cat truly stood out. We encourage everyone to donate and support our local shelters so they can continue to care for these furry friends and help them find loving homes!

I wanted to adopt a kitten/ younger cat for my 4 year old cat at home and decided to do a walk in visit before they closed on a Sunday. They were super welcoming from the start and super helpful. Everyone working there was super knowledgeable about the animals and if they would get along with other cats etc. I expressed what I was looking for and fell in love with a kitten and ended up applying for that cat the following day. She’s completely healthy and full of energy and I couldn’t be more happy with my decision to adopt from this animal shelter. ***Update my kitten is still thriving, happy and healthy 6 months later. First of all goodmorning everyone! Me and my husband just adopt a Poodle on 09-27-2025 . I told my husband that we were just going to look..lol But that was impossible after they brought this little 2 year old Poodle name shaggy. Omg my heart melted when I saw him..I told my husband that's him I want him..and Maritza in the front office made it happen for me adoption went smooth fill out the application I saw the dogs I fell in love with Shaggy and after all the approval and everything Shaggy's home with me we had a wonderful experience and if in the future I need to adopt again I will come here looking for another furry friend. I reached out to this place because it is supposedly the only local shelter for my area. Called twice, no answer, sent an email. Initially the response was polite and professional, asking for the animal’s information for pickup. I am then advised to call back, which I do. I don’t understand how you can be on phone duty if you’re rude and unprofessional to people. We’ll start there. It’s winter- we happened upon a stray and could not in good conscience leave him on the streets in the cold. We took him to the vet to see if he was chipped and get him an initial check up, could not reach owners. We find my children have several allergies and the stray cannot stay, he is healthy and overall looks pretty good, house broken.
