Jerome Animal Shelter

My boyfriend and I had been looking for an addition to our family and we luckily saw dobby (previously named Eros) on the website, we immediately applied for the adoption process and I kept calling to ask questions as I’ve never adopted from a shelter (hopefully I didn’t annoy them too badly) they answered all my questions and were super friendly! We went today and they were so so so busy but yet still got us in and out efficiently! They gave us all the paperwork we need for him and on our way we went with our puppy, he is already settled in so well!

we adopted Hank from this shelter quite a few months ago & we just wanted to share how thankful we are for the ladies that helped us out with this adoption!! Hank & our heeler have become the best of friends & we couldn’t imagine life without him! they were so helpful from the beginning & even came after hours so we could pick him up:) you people are doing amazing work, Hank is getting love & seeing sights he would’ve never seen if it weren’t for y’all ❤️

We went to the Jerome shelter to meet a sweet little pitty whom we found on the Friends Furever website. They're very thorough on matching people with animals. Unfortunately, the pitbull and our puppy did not get along, so we could not leave the shelter with the pitbull. When we went back inside, Brittney mentioned that she had another dog that might be a good fit for our family. She brought out Chester the Husky and thanks to her knowledge and experience around dog behaviour she managed to get our puppy past her fear aggression and playing with Chester. Our puppy is now absolutely smitten with him and it's been so wonderful having him in our home. He's such a sweet boy and so patient with our roudy little girl. FILTHY beyond comprehension & even office is filthy. The smell was bad. They put animals in holden cells without baths or proper grooming & most are not given shots. We saw a small dog in his own filth day after day. We could not get a clear explanation as to how to adopt & several times they were closed bc of parvo. We drove over 3 hrs just to get him out of those conditions. He had infected paws & under legs from bush / weed chees. They had brought this dog in & never looked at him! He was COVERED in his own feces. Our groomer spent 3 hrs trying to groom him & his Vet gave shots & nurtured him & tomorrow we return for more work on infected areas!! I wish we could get all of the dogs out! The place is a total disgrace & should be cleaned & new staff hires. As an animal advocate this place
