James L. "Bo" Bryant Animal Shelter and West Feliciana Animal Humane Society (WFAHS)

This shelter is so nice. If you can volunteer time or give, please know the money is all going to the animals. It is an impressive grass roots organization run by community members. I have a dog and 4 cats from this shelter and they are all wonderful animals.

Such a caring and kind place. I send Jamie updates on our kitty all the time. They are amazing and kind I would adopt from there again. Probably will. Those are pics from. The shelter right after the paperwork was done! Please adopt! They are such wonderful pets! Our kitty is so wonderful and sweet. She even answers me when I talk to her!!!

Adopted my sweet doggo Copper (formerly known as Sherlock) from James L. Bo Bryant Animal Shelter. I was instantly impressed with how hard the staff works to insure that the animals here are happy, healthy, well loved and socialize before going to their forever homes. Also, the entire area is clean and well kept. Very pleasant experience starting from driving up to the shelter to taking my new furbaby home. Very thankful for the volunteers here and for all that they do.

This shelter is to be applauded for the love,care and kindness shown to EACH individual dog housed in the facility not to mention the clean and sanitized housing area across the way where the cats and kittens live and play! There are in an enclosed area that resembles a house with with glass "windows " to observe the cats and kittens live, nap and play and all sorts of apparatuses to cplimb on. I was amazed at the homelike atmosphere given to the felines 🐈. It was the end of the day for the shelter workers yet they did not try to hurry me as I admired all of the Precious animals ❤️ waiting for someone to fall in love with them and take them to their forever home. I volunteer for the shelter a couple of days a week. All the staff is friendly and knowledgable about the dogs and cats we care for on a daily bases. We treat every precious dog and cat like our own family pet. Their well being and happiness and placing them in the best and safest new forever home is our goal.
