Amazing staff, patient and knowledgeable about the animals in their shelter. Animals were clean and kennels well maintained. Adopted this sweet boy today and he’s already making himself at home and has stolen our hearts! Thank you for helping unite us with Hudson!

So tell me why my husband and I get to this shelter to drop off a stray cat from the side of the road and the website says it’s a nonprofit shelter but yet tried charging $65 and ask for unneeded information and even tried having my husband fill out paperwork 3 times. The shelter wasn’t clean what so ever the dog’s were covered in their own feces. They even tried telling my husband there wasn’t enough room even though they had 8 cages empty when we got there. The lady there was beyond disrespectful 10/10 don’t recommend going there to drop off an of the animals. Please don’t let this discourage you and your family/ from adopting those poorly treated animals.

I was told at 10:36 that the dog I wanted to meet was available. I told them I would be there by 1:00. The shelter opened at noon. I drove over an hour to get there just to be told she had been adopted. So between noon and 1:00 she was adopted. They didn't message or call me to tell me. Was she even available? They knew I was coming to see her, why didn't they hold her until I got there? I should've been first in line to meet with her and decide if she would've been a good fit. I think it was just a ruse to get me there so I'd look at other dogs. It worked. I met with another dog who was incredibly scared. My dog was OK with him so he came home with us. Just called to see if I could surrender my cats since nowhere in my county do they have spots available, I told the lady I have been trying to rehome them for months, keep running into dead ends and the lady had the audacity to tell me it isn’t really their problem if my county can’t take them in. If this is your mind set running a shelter, find a different job. You should be ashamed of yourself and I hope you see this!

The staff is professional and very nice great place to visit thanks again we are very pleased with Sammie she's a sweetheart
