Jackson County Animal Shelter

I went out of town and my dog sitter vanished on me. I got a call from Brad letting me know my dogs were out, and concerning some of my neighbors. One of my dogs is a bigger, anxious dog, who can be scary. Brad went above and beyond to get my contact information from the closest vet, which I thought was ingenious, by the way, and called me. Through some remote operations I was able to open my garage and he let my dogs back in. My dog isn’t aggressive, but she was abused before I got her, so she gets scared. Brad worked with me to make sure my dogs were put away, and my neighbors were safe. I cannot say enough how much that meant to me and I cannot praise this organization enough!! Thank you, Brad!!

New building is absolutely beautiful, the cats, dogs, puppies, kittens and mean dogs all have their own space now. Front Desk is great and the staff can't be beat. I got my kitten Onyx from there on 12-8-2023. The little guys is a blast...he's healthy and came with all his papers. I will donate soon and I really hope more people like me and you donate too.

Great staff in a nice facility. The animals are well cared for. We adopted our young dog from there and were very pleased with the whole experience.

5 years ago we adopted Hoover from an dog rescue here in NJ. They took Hoover as a rescue from you guys. I just want to say thank for rescuing this pup from some hoarders house that poised as an animal rescue when she was arrested. He has been the best dog ever! He is family. Just figured I would give you an update on one of your many rescues. He is living the good life now.

I want to say thank you so much to the wonderful staff for jumping in and taking the little black kittens I found dumped. :( The staff did not hesitate to grab these babies up, even though they expressed kitten dumping season is overwhelming right now. These two little black kittens were dumped by a country road near my home and I am thankful I found them yesterday evening before it got dark. People need to fix their pets to prevent unwanted animals and stop dumping helpless animals! I know this shelter will make sure those kittens are vetted and go to the best homes possible. All the animals are so clean, well cared for, and just very happy babies. If you are looking for a best friend, do not pass this wonderful little shelter up. They may have what you are looking for!
