J D Grooming

We stumbled on JD’s off of their claim to be very good with senior/health issue dogs (comfort grooming). We had a 9am appointment. Our 14yo dog went into a crate that had a dog on each side of her. The dog on her one side was just constantly barking at her and my dog was shaking scared. They had no dividers or anything and it was gonna take 4 hours for her to get groomed. I can’t speak to the quality of grooming but just the handling of my dog was just very cold and unprofessional by my standards. I had my wife turn around and get our dog. To be fair our amazing groomer we have had for years retired. Off of her I have high standards but to me an appointment is to work on your animal not to sit in a crate waiting forever. My wife said they were very polite but I just wanted to inform fellow

I took my dog to get her nails clipped today. Gawd bless how cute she is, but Winnifred is a timid dog. JD Grooming was fast as lightening and reassuring (to both of us). No need to suffer at home when she makes it look so easy! I will be back every time Winnie needs her nails done. Thank you again!!

I swear to you...this groomer is the BEST in town...they've been grooming my dogs for almost 20 years and if by chance you own Miniature schnauzers...they specialize in that breed, I've owned 3 of them and will not take them anywhere else...I take my pomeranian into them and when I pick her up. She has the most adorable teddy bear haircut...my dogs feel safe and loved and Happy after their spa days!

This is the only groomer that I will trust with my dogs, usually very gentle and careful to not cut their skin. They had an appointment last week and one did have a few small cuts, but she was pretty matted up. I know that it's sometimes unavoidable, but I was not told about it. The hours are a bit different than most other places. You have to drop off between 8 and 9 A.M. then pick up between 12 and 1:30 depending on which time you dropped your pet off. They don't take walk-ins, so be sure to make an appointment before you need it since they are typically booked a month ahead. Also, NO CARDS, cash or check only
