Island Animal Hospital in Merritt Island

Its always an “upsell” and a tude from front office. The front office staff acts like you dont take care of your dogs when they dont know history of dog reactions to vax etc. Ive literally had to be pushy to get my dog seen in an emergency there. They insist that they have a “wellness” visit requirement but then try to whisk your pet to the back via a tech so you don’t know if a doctor actually even looked at your pet, let alone be the one to give vaccines. I spend thousands each yr but am treated like I dont take care of my dogs. I do annual EKGs for 2 of my dogs (not cheap) and yet am told I must come in for a “wellness” visit to get their medication refills. Was just there 6 months ago with specialist and med is for life! I visited Island Animal Hospital Merritt Island with the stray cat I am calling Bee Bee today, and saw Dr. Coris. She was found with a spinal injury, is paraplegic right now, and I could not express her bladder. Dr. Coris was so wonderful, patient, and kind with me and gave me very detailed instructions and helped me believe in myself. I am so happy to say that I was able to express Bee Bee’s bladder tonight using the method that Dr. Coris showed me. I have been shown this by 3 separate vets/vet techs but Dr. Coris really took the time to help me understand. I am literally crying right now because the amount of stress and anxiety I have been having the last three days over not being able to do this and having to drive 40 minutes to see the vet that originally treated her 3 times a day just

I took my sweet girl baby here because she was loosing her ability to walk, and i got doctor Chloe Williams, she was amazing and explain everything that was going on and tried her best to help baby, i appreciate doctor williams and the staff at island animal hospital for making me and my dog feel cared for.

Amazing vet!!! They are so kind, patient, and genuinely caring. They actually listen, explain things clearly and never make you feel rushed. I am Grateful for them! They took great care of my sick kitten and she is so much better. THE ENTIRE STAFF IS THE BEST!!!!!

I brought in a friend who had to put her dog to sleep.In times like this you need all the support and sympathy...Samantha was so amazing, kind and sympathetic. Dr. Austin Bell was so kind and understanding. I highly recommend this Animal Hospital. I did call around and they were far most reasonable practice. A big THAN YOU!!
