I love going up to see the crew at the ferret house, I go up as often as I can it's so nice and also relaxing and I know those ferrets have been given a great life. Even at the expense of the caregivers they go above and beyond the call of duty to make sure every need is met and so much love given if they have a special need no worries the Iowa ferret rescue sees it done. Round the clock care and love. Awesome place awesome caregivers and awesome animals if you get the chance to visit do so you will not regret it.

Rhonda is a amazing person. she doesn’t only take in ferrets that need help she also helps educate other ferret parents. She has 3 play lands( they are ferret proof) that you can bring your little ones to visit while you watch them run around and dig. Brandon and her are up throughout the night to help older ferrets who need more special care, like meds. I actually got my ferret from her after helping out up there for years. And learning all I could about ferrets before I finally made the choice. So if you ever want to see your ferret run around outside and not have to be on a leash or even to get more ferret education, go ahead and go up there. It’s worth it! 😊

While educating potential adopters, Rhonda also gets ferrets on a healthy path and provides them with amazing new experiences. Ferrets don't come to her home to be adopted back out. They come to heal and learn to play and be the best ferret they can be. After adopting an older ferret who was not eating and very underweight, I took him to Rhonda hoping she would be able to help him get better. She nursed him back to health and got him eating again. Finn and I will be forever greatful!

I was a new ferret mom. I had minimum knowledge of how to care for them when I accidentally stumbled onto Rhonda. Little did I know then that she'd be the best thing that could have happened to me and my babies!! She didn't get tired of my endless questions, taught me tons, and is absolutely amazingly! Not only is she is an amazing teacher, but she also rescues ferrets, nursing them to health. She does whatever it takes; advice, medicines, food, cages, supplies, fundraising, etc. to save ferrets in need. But just as, if not more important, she volunteers her time, energy, and her heart. She's dedicated, and never complains. She literally wants the best for ferrets.
