Iowa Farm Sanctuary

Great people saving the rescued animals. This is a great place to introduce people to the many friendly animals. Cows, goats, ducks, pigs, ect... all there to visit and appreciate. You actually get to interact and feed them approved fruit and vegetable treats. They eat treats from your hands.

What a lovely place. The staff was super kind and helpful; they were almost all volunteers who you could tell truly cared about the place and the animals. I took a sanctuary stroll and it was beautiful. I got to interact with lovely goats, chickens, ducks, cows, and pigs. They also had several signs outlining key facts about the animal agriculture industries, which I appreciate them not shying away from. The merchandise store had so many cute items. The owner was also around and you could tell how much she cares for and does this for the animals. Beautiful place with a great mission.

We had a great afternoon on the Sunday still. The volunteers were so friendly and it was nice to be able to feed and interact with the animals. My son loved the ducks and talked about them the whole way home. My personal favorite were the turkeys and cows. It’s a lovely farm and it’s great to see the animals that they rescued. It was an easy stroll around the farm and the animals were given a choice to be interactive or not, but I will say most came close because we had treats :)

Fun, family friendly place to visit and interact with compassionate people. Being able to feed the animals was a big highlight!! Already planning my next trip back!
