Iowa Falls Veterinary Care

I have been a die hard Ackley Vet person for about 10 years, trusting Dr. Hinders in every way with my entire pack (currently have 4 GSD/GSD mixes and a Great Dane.) But, I recently made an emergency trip to see Dr. Victoria Dohrmann at Iowa Falls Vet Clinic (per Dr. Hinders and his staff's suggestion) when my 13 month old GSD/Mal mix, Alibi, was showing signs of a blockage and Ackley was booked solid. Not only did they immediately get us in, but moved swiftly and thoroughly to examine my girl and get her in for an x-ray. Thankfully the scans looked ok, so Dr. Dohrmann moved on to diagnose as Gastroenteritis given physical exam and presentation of symptoms. They gave an injection of Cerenia and subcutaneous fluids in the office and sent us home with special canned ProPlan EN diet, antibiot

I own a local grooming shop and was recommended to the Iowa Falls clinic from one of my clients who knows Dr. Dohrmann personally and I was VERY impressed from t he moment I pulled into the parking lot. The facility is clean, the staff is extremely friendly, and Dr. Dohrmann truly made me feel heard as a pet parent. Will definitely recommend to others and will return!

It is always a great experience when I take my pets. The staff are always so kind and take care to explain everything to you. I love how easy and convenient it is for me to make sure my pets are healthy.

Refused antibiotics to my geriatric cat until he got extremely ill. Then proceeded to ignore a subsequent emergency message left on their emergency line. After that, accused me of yelling at staff when I simply informed them firmly of the situation. Then fired me as a client. I have been a registered veterinary technician for over 17 years in California and was worried about the standard of care in rural Iowa. Extremely disappointed, and honestly quite disgusted, with the lack of professionalism and apparent dishonesty of the staff. Only recommended to those whom don’t highly value their animal’s wellbeing. EDIT: When the convenia was not working, you refused to give another antibiotic until he was literally pouring green mucus from his nose. I don’t know how you can state you did other

I have enjoyed the care my pets receive through Iowa falls.. honestly feel like the vet listens to the concerns and addresses them.
