Indraloka Animal Sanctuary

My partner and I attended an event at Indraloka last weekend and had such a wonderful time! Sarah graciously introduced us to so many sweet and charming animals—sassy alpacas, friendly pigs, curious goats and sheep, and precious kitty, Zoe, who absolutely loved belly rubs—and gave us the nicest tour of the sanctuary. She even effortlessly plucked me a four leaf clover to feed to a sweet three-legged sheep named Sir Thelonius (it happened to be my bday so this was super special to me!). What a magical place this is!! We had a banana ice cream party with the pigs and goats that was an absolute hoot! We were also treated to a fabulous vegan bbq spread catered by the lovely Donna of Maximum Zen (vegan restaurant in the area, don’t miss this place!). Delicious pasta and potato salads, veggie b

Indraloka is an amazing place. The animals are so excited to see humans and you can see just how happy they are to be there. The staff is extremely kind and friendly and you can tell so much that they are extremely passionate about the animals and their roles at the sanctuary. Will surely be back and highly recommend to anyone who loves animals.

We had the privilege on June 15th of touring the Indraloka Animal Sanctuary with Dana. She was a patient, enthusiastic, impressively knowledge, and clearly animal-loving tour guide. What a wonderful way to spend a few hours. It made me not want to eat beef again, which is wild, just seeing how sophisticated the cows and other rescued creatures were. Dana knew a lot about each type of animal, knew all of their names by heart, and showed genuine fondness and interest both in the animals and in our group. It was so fascinating to see how some of the animals were curious, shy, proud, and everything in between - they all had noticeable personalities. I’ve visited the sanctuary twice so far and both times have been and amazing /educational experience. To be so up close with the animals is a great experience. My granddaughter was in awe of being able to hang with goats and feed pigs.
