Imagine Peace for Pups

I adopted from Imagine Peace for Pups 7 years ago with my sweet Lilly girl. Not only was Lisa helpful and made sure I could transport Lilly safely from Oregon to my home in WA. Lisa is wonderful and cares deeply for the dogs. She kept up with me since then and helps me when I run into behavioral problems or simply need advice with my other dogs. I am grateful for this rescue and all the awesome work done

I connected with IP4P 2 years ago when I fostered a young GSD-Malinois mix and it was a life changing experience. I got to be part of a rescue effort to save the life of an amazing dog who was in a kill shelter. Lisa made the whole process so easy, from initial application to delivery of the dog to my home. The rescue covered all of the vet bills, a DNA test which revealed the unknown Malinois part, and specialty training to help cultivate an ideal relationship with his new owner. Last month, I enlisted again as a foster and had the wonderful experience of bridging the gap between 2 puppies' transition from shelter to forever homes. Wonderful rescue - hard working volunteers and the founder, Lisa Clark, help make this rescue a great organization to work with. They care about all the animals they help. Rescue work is hard work and emotionally draining- thank you Imagine Peace for Pups!!

I realize that this is a strictly volunteer agency, and Lisa Clark's heart is in the right place. All of the ladies work very hard, and save hundreds of animals lives. But...my experience with them was not a positive one. I'm not going to share my experience, but I do warn ALL, to make sure you have the price of the animal upfront before you even go look at the animal. If you saw a picture of the animal on one of their sites and it quoted the price for the animal I would advise strongly that you print that out and take it with you. Also, do not always believe the age of what they say the animal is. A puppy is not a 2-year-old, and they damn well knew that!

I had a wonderful experience working with Imagine Peace for Pups. I got a rescue pittie named Chubbs from them, and am now looking for another pal for him. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a pet.
