I have used HumaneK9 Dog training since 2011, with two different dogs. We’ve done therapy dog training, real world training, first aid, tricks, agility, and obedience at multiple levels. We’ve done classes and private training sessions. One of my dogs was training to be a therapy dog and the other has severe fear, anxiety, and reactivity issues. Marni Bellavia has been instrumental in training them both. Though my dogs are very different from each other, the force-free, positive reinforcement training that Marni teaches has applied to them both, and the results go far beyond my original expectations. Don't just envy those people you see in public with well behaved and well rounded dogs, be one! My Australian Shepherd Willow literally grew up with HumaneK9. The training that took place out in the real world with Marni is immeasurable especially for our work in animal assisted therapy with Magical Canine Connections. Training is a two-way street, your dog trainer is not a miracle worker, although Marni is close! You have to put in the work as well. Marni is absolutely fabulous! She really understands how a dog’s mind works and is very thorough in teaching us how to reinforce the behavior we want from our Aussie puppy. Our dog LOVES her and really responds to her loving approach with him. We were concerned about how he would do for Thanksgiving with 21 people in the home, and with her guidance ahead of time, he did great-no jumping at all!! I highly recommend Marni’s group classes as well, as they have been very beneficial in teaching our dog how to behave appropriately in multiple settings and situations. If I could give her more than 5 stars, I would!

I met Marni at a doggy day and I instantly realized that she is an excellent professional. We took out 4 month old puppy to a private session and now we are part of her group training. She know exactly what is best for you and your dog and as long as you practice and implement what she recommends you will notice how your relationship with your pet changes. She does everything calmly, with an explanation as to why and knows how to keep you happy and calm as well as it can be frustrating and hard not knowing what to do at first. Absolutely recommend her!
