Humane Society Waterville Area

We're having our precious little angel cremated and the staff was so sweet. Grace answered all our questions on the phone and there were other staff too support me while there with my beloved. We were able to pick out an urn, we got prints and a clipping of her hair. When we get her back we'll have her certificate and all the rest. Thank you so much to the girl who walked me through this. She was so sweet caring and considerate. I wish I remembered her name.

It's hard to keep a shelter clean. Looking/smelling good, having sanitary conditions and also taking really great care of your animals. Upon visiting last week, this is what I was greeted with. I had extremely helpful and knowledgeable techs that had no problem making sure the furry guy I was taking home was taking well care of and that I was very knowledgeable in the ways of his needs. I am quite impressed. I've been here before and have seen them in the process of making so many changes. It was a great and positive experience. Thank you so much, Waterville humane society 🩵

Update: We adopted another one a couple years later for the first one to have a friend after we lost our Tuxedo of 12 years. He was healthy, energetic and ready to go! After a decade of true rescue and rehabilitation we decided on a kitten we could raise without traumatic experiences we needed to work on. Although, it can be done! I have had experience with several animal facilities, animal caretakers and animal organizations throughout the last decade. I called ten shelters in Maine before finally reaching Waterville Humane Society and luckily finding a very small, male, neutered kitten.
