Humane Society of Sandusky County

Amanda went above and beyond to get my sweet boy’s medical records. I adopted Spicy Tuna back in 2022 at this facility and needed to get a copy of his documents. Amanda was so great with informing me on how the process works. Not only did she thoroughly explain but there was a bit of a delay on obtaining the records due to internet being down- Amanda did not waste time to call to keep me posted and reassured me that they did not forget. We’ve moved to Georgia now but just know- if I were still over there, i’d give y’all a big hug!! What an exceptional team! Thank you guys :)

This is THE PLACE to get a cat! I've never seen a set up so good at a Humane Society before. Every cat seems very happy and well socialized. The staff really cares about them and it shows. I was working with Amanda who was the person that took in both the cats I ended up adopting. She knew them all so well and was able to direct me to the perfect pair of kitties. Nothing but great things to say all around - I wish all humane societies were more like this one!

We are recently in the final stage of adopting our precious Fur SON, SIMON!!!! He is such a joy!! We can't wait to bring him home!!!!! The staff was extremely helpful, attentive and curious each time we visited and made everything pleasant. Thank you all sooo much for being so kind and helpful and also for excellent care you provided for little Simon!!

Nice place, clean and the workers were pleasant and happy to help with questions! The only problem was it's a little hard to find, the building isn't marked so you kinda have to guess. But, I definitely recommend here to find your new friend!!

We were denied... Me and my daughter are absolutely heartbroken. They have so many cats that need homes. They would've been happy with us... in a home being loved. Not in a closet sized room or ferret cage that those poor babies are in now.
