Humane Society of Port Jervis/Deerpark

I have tried to get them to take in and help multiple cats throughout the years and not once would they. I've only spoken to three different people in the past 5 years but none seemed happy about their jobs or interested at all in helping animals. Not at all normal, from my many decades of experience dealing with different ASPCAs. I know they went through changes and two of those people aren't there anymore but apparently one of the new people aren't much better (or nicer).

I recently adopted this week. They made it very fast and efficient while still assuring that I had all the information I needed on my new part of the family. For the adoption fee, it included my pets, vaccine, spay, and microchip. I didn’t have a vet so they were able to recommend one to me. Also, it’s very obvious that they take good care of the animals they take in. Kora was well socialized there with other animals and is a sweetheart. Couldn’t have asked for a better adoption process. Great people who really love their animals.

They are extremely grateful there and always need anything extra thst would help ex: bedding,towels,food,cleaning solutions, collars, toys, treats and much more. These poor animals only have about 6ft kennel which i mean its not them its just the space for so many animals. I adopted my dog Darla there 500$ was fixed, shots, heart wormed,microchipped. I love her do much and they made sure to call our previous vets to make sure we took care of our animals. Extremely friendly Kylie is awesome!

I had a previous review guess it disappeared. Got my boy jersey here. I had tried to adopt from many places but port Jervis humane society was the only shelter to give me the time of day. And after all these years me and jersey are unseperable

We adopted a one year old hound/lab mix a couple of months ago! It was such an easy process & everyone at the humane society was so kind and helpful! We got a folder with all of her information! You can tell she was well taken care of there! We love our girl and appreciate the deer park humane society so much for helping us find her! I love how active they are on Facebook showing everyone the animals they have. It definitely helps them find homes!
