Humane Society for Greater Savannah

We adopted our sweet kitty, Bandit, a couple of weeks ago and can’t even imagine our lives without her now! The staff was incredibly helpful in helping us find a cat that gets along well with children and is pretty laid back. MJ and the rest of the crew are outstanding! I absolutely love this Humane Society, especially since they’re a no kill shelter. The volunteers and employees work tirelessly to provide great care for each and every animal. We will definitely be adopting again in the future!

Such an amazing place with great staff. My boyfriend and I visit each week to give some attention to the kitties. The staff are so kind and always helpful. We adopted his first cat there. The process was so smooth and they provided us with everything he needed for the first couple weeks. Highly recommend adopting or volunteering here. ❤️🐾

It’s been almost two weeks since adopting Louie, and I can confidently say he’s my friend for life. Over the summer, I kept checking the adoption website, debating whether or not I was ready for a cat. That all changed when I saw Louie’s picture…something about him just stood out, and I knew he was the one. The very next day, I made it my mission to go meet him. The staff was so welcoming and gave me plenty of time to get to know him. Louie was shy at first, spending most of the visit tucked under a blanket, which made sense since he was still new to the shelter. Even so, I felt an immediate connection and knew I couldn’t leave without him. Once I brought him home, it only took about an hour for him to settle in and make the place his own. We adopted our girl Morticia a few days ago the adoption process was quick and easy. She got situated at home very fast, very happy and healthy at first sight. But we ended up noticing day after that her paws were cracked and bleeding, called the vet there and they said any moisturizer would do, nothing else, a day later noticed she had tape worms. This is my first time adopting ever but I dont think thats suppose to be normal.

I've waited a bit to leave a review, but I adopted my cat Maude (formerly called 8-bit) around a month ago, and she is the light of my life. Shortly before adopting her I had very suddenly and traumatically lost my previous cat, but she has brought so much light to my life and helped me so much in healing from that tragic loss. When I went to look at the cats, I asked one of the staff members for their most cuddly cat and they quickly pointed out Maude and they were so right! She sleeps next to me every night and gets excited to the point of shaking every time I come home from work or wake up in the morning.
