10/10, I highly recommend this place to everyone. My puppy had cherry eye and I was searching for a reasonably priced vet. Every vet I called wanted $1,000+. I found HVARS via a quick google search. They were able to complete my puppies cherry eye surgery and spay her (your animal has to be spayed or neutured to have a procedure done here) for $500-$700, I can't remember the exact price. I have seen complaints about owners not being able to go into or wait in the lobby. The lobby is tiny so of course, they would establish this rule to avoid overcrowding. The staff is very professional and knowledgeable. Again, 10/10 and I highly recommend this place to any and everyone.

My experience at the Hudson Valley animal rescue and sanctuary was impeccable. I would. Refer them for all your animal needs at a fraction of the cost that the vet or animal hospital charges. The staff Sam help me with my teacup poodle needs 100%. She was excellent. they actually saved my dogs life thank you thank you thank you

The prices are definitely less, however I've had to sit in the car and wait long periods for my dog to be seen. The first time an hour and half, and the second time over an hour. My dog is terrified of cars, it takes 2 people to get him in the car, then to have to sit in the car for an hour and half is too much. I went for a vaccination today, after waiting 45 minutes I asked the staff how much longer. I was told this is a low income vet, that's why the wait time is longer. I told her I would wait 15 more minutes then would have to reschedule. They finally came out for my dog. Then the manager came out. She was very defensive and rude. Told me I could find another vet. We had been clients at this veterinary practice for over 10 years. The pricing is reasonable, and the veterinarians themselves are adequate, but our experience with the front office staff was deeply disappointing and ultimately unacceptable. When we brought our dog in to be euthanized—a beloved family pet—we arrived as a family of four and were understandably distraught. During this extremely emotional time, we were required to go into the front office to select cremation and memorial options. Unfortunately, the staff could not locate pricing information or figure out how to place the order through their own system. I was recommend to Hudson Valley Animal Rescue (HVAR) by a dedicated employee name Mina, I’m super pleased that I was recommend here. After calling in for my appointment, Emilia came to the car and gathered information on a rescue dog I had obtain. Then took her in for what I’ve asked which was xray blood test pain meds and exam. Dr. C came back with some information and was very detailed in explaining and was very helpful. Overall from time of start to end was about and hour and twenty mins which wasn’t bad at all with the lovely cows chickens and horses to help pass time.
