Customer Reviews
Hey there! 😊 To whom it may concern, my name is Woo, and I'm known as the Navy Yard DogWhisperer. I just wanted to share my thoughts about this place. Even with the recent management changes and price increases, I still absolutely love it here! I totally get that business is business and inflation affects us all, but I think a gradual price hike, along with a heads-up, would have been more considerate. Now, let's talk about the great stuff! The staff is always excellent—super friendly and helpful! There's such a fantastic selection of items, from toys and wet/dry goods to harnesses, leashes, duck heads, hearts, liver, and even doggy yogurt ice cream and candles! I've been a loyal customer for over five years and signed up for their membership two years ago. I've earned a ton of points a
This has been an amazing local shop to support for all my dogs needs! They carry his food (Stella and Chewy's), and are always friendly and helpful!
Customer satisfaction is not a priority at Howl to the Chief. In contrast to other pet stores I've visited, both large chains and small businesses, they offer a reasonable return policy with 100% satisfaction guarantee or your money back, this is not the case at Howl to the Chief. Despite having the receipt and returning my items within the specified timeframe, I was denied a refund. Nowhere online or in the store does it state that opened items cannot be returned. Only empty ones or damaged ones. Both items I bought for my dog did not work at all, and were barely used, I guess this is thought as damaged goods? As any dog owner knows, each dog is unique and reacts differently to various products. So, this no return policy is extremely unsatisfactory, not even store credit was offered.
Do not purchase this dog holder from howl to the chief. This has cost me thousands in medical bills from a herniated disc as a result of using this to carry my pup which is no more than 20 lbs. it looks to be home made it is roughly $60 and has no official tags. I have reported this to store management with no changes being made to the product for weight limit tags. Love the store but would hope they take these issues with their products being sold a little more seriously. Also, the comment below is false. There has been no reimbursement. God bless. I would hope store management cared less about optics and more about customer experience.
