Howey Horse Haven Rescue

My first experience with Howey Horse Haven was incredible. You can really tell how much they love what they do, as well as their love for animals. Since then I've witnessed their hard work and the dedication it takes to keep the ranch going. The animals really needed a safe place and this is the place they can be themselves and enjoy their life. Even though we all know that it is expensive to run a ranch (even a small one) the animals get what they need. This is a great place to visit as well as volunteer.

What a beautiful place. The horses are well taken care of. They have their own gorgeous guard dogs. I wish I lived closer I would volunteer I may anyway. Even if it's once a month. Thank you for caring for these poor magnificent creatures and showing them love after they have been so abused. I don't understand how people can me so cruel. I'll be in contact.

I have been volunteering at Howey Horse Haven Rescue for 2 Years now. Every horse that I have seen come into the rescue malnourished and scared become healthy and happy animals. The owners are so kind and give every animal the nourishment and love they need. I highly recommend visiting them and spending some time with these amazing souls they have saved.

They're awesome and definitely worth looking into, whether for adopting, donating, volunteering, therapy, or pure curiosity! Within the past year, financial difficulties resulted in my family having to sell our horses before we could no longer afford them. After falling on even harder financial times, I knew I needed an outlet, a place to be around horses once more. After searching for nearby horse rescues, I found Howey Horse Haven Rescue, called Teresa, and went out to volunteer the first Saturday I could.While I knew I would fall in love with the horses and I knew that it was a horse haven, what I didn't expect was to find my second family, and my own haven.
