House Paws Animal Hospital Lovettsville

We are so happy with the care given to our four furry babies. From routine vaccines, dental care and surgeries. The staff goes above and beyond to make the whole family feel comfortable from the first visit to the routine follow ups. We love the feel of a home. This environment has brought comfort for all of our pets. We moved to Lovettsville from Leesburg last August and were so happy to have a home town animal hospital so close that provides excellent high quality care. We even like having to call when we arrive to let the staff know that we have arrived for our appointment. Yes, I found this process different from most offices, but the process works and it keeps the animals happy and not stressed. And yes, the pet parents can come inside to sit with their babies. Love the local service, ability to earn points via an app, and the care of their staff. These providers care and want to keep their quaint but mighty practice running smoothly for their customers and patients. Keep it up!

I brought my cat to House Paws to update her vaccines. I was not particularly happy with their bedside manner, but didn’t pay too much attention to that as I was preoccupied with other major life events at the time. Two weeks later, I had to bring her back for her distemper booster. As I sat in my car in the parking lot, the assistant gave me two options. One, wait in my car while they bring my cat in. Or two, they come out to my car and give her the booster there. I thought the second option was very odd, and even expressed that to the young lady, so I opted for the assistant to take my cat inside while I waited out in my car. I did think this option was also odd, as it’s not like we are experiencing a pandemic or anything. But I said ok nonetheless. As they brought her in, she escaped

Bad vet who price gouged us. Went in thinking cat has urinary infection. Vet did $700 of tests without letting us know prices. All came back negative; still awaiting results for the one relevant test. No advice. No medicine. Should have witheld payment. Now can't pay rent! DO NOT PATRONIZE THIS PLACE.

Dr. Leah and her staff are absolutely wonderful! Kind, compassionate, and knowledgable. Our 10 mo. old Frenchie had a rash and they (Maria) squeezed us in for a same day appointment (which was WONDERFUL) and took great care of us. I am very pleased with the service, pricing, and locations close to our home. I will be moving all of our pets over House Paws as their main vet.
