Houndstooth Training

I am very pleased with the excellent training that Harry, my bernadoodle, received at Houndstooth Canine Training. As a first time dog parent, I expressed to Olivia and Emme how I was starting from scratch and needed to make sure that Harry had a solid foundation in order for me to be effective. After the training program, Harry came back with excellent manners and is a delight to be with in the company of others. Olivia cares deeply about Harry’s success, and it is clear that she loves her profession. She was committed to making sure that I felt well-trained in my home, and I greatly appreciate that. This was a very good investment, and I am experiencing the valuable returns. Great job with my Handsome Harry!

As a first-time dog mom, I wanted to make sure my pup was well-trained from the start. I knew people who had amazing results with Olivia and her team, so I felt confident this was the best choice for me and Bear. We enrolled in the service dog training program, and throughout the process Olivia kept me updated on his progress. Any time I had a question or wanted to check in, communication was clear and helpful. I also loved knowing that Bear was having fun with the other dogs while learning. When I got Bear back, I was honestly shocked at how well-trained he was. He could walk beautifully on leash, hold a down stay, come when called, and go to his “place” with ease. The best of the best. Sent our puppies, Moose & Piper, to work with Olivia and Emme for 8 weeks while we had some life changes. Not only were they the happiest little babies while there, but they came home pure ANGELS. We were told there would be an adjustment period, which is true for any dog, but with Olivia's guidance they made it through quickly. Off-leash hikes & park play, leash-walking, down-stays in public places, and socializing with other dogs are all heaven after their time at Houndstooth. We constantly get compliments on how well-behaved and well-trained they are. Can't talk up the Houndstooth team more!!!

We are so happy with the training provided by Houndstooth team! We rescued our mix lab (Captain) in April 2023, and the best decision we ever made was to seek for training. Captain was jumping on everyone, on our toddler, jumping on the counter, eating the furniture, even biting us with a toy in his mouth to call our attention when he wanted to play, which was a bit scary for visitors, and walking him was like arm wrestling, very difficult. Captain did the 6 weeks program and Wow! What a great experience! He is still the happy puppy he always was but well behaved now, he listens to all the commands, walking with him on a leash was a nightmare and now it is one of the best experiences of our day! I was so nervous to send my girl to training, but Bella was in the BEST hands at Houndstooth. After completing her service training at Houndstooth, Bella is the most confident, calm, and eager to work I’ve ever seen her! I didn’t think Bella and I could possibly be closer but after the task training she did with Olivia & Emilee, I feel closer to her than ever. I can’t recommend Houndstooth enough! Olivia and Emilee are truly amazing & go above and beyond for the pups and their clients!
