first visit: Staff is so friendly and caring. They will work with you from a conservative/reasonable approach to whatever it takes at all costs. Very knowledgeable. Amazing experience! I will have to let them know how it works out for this little kid goat.

I always have great experiences with Hondo Vet. The staff is incredibly helpful and kind, and you can really tell they care about your pet. It’s also one of the more affordable clinics around, and I appreciate that they never try to push unnecessary tests or treatments. It’s refreshing to find a vet that’s honest, caring, and respectful of your budget. Highly recommend!

Never been happier with my decision in switching from my previous veterinarian in Uvalde Tx to this vet in Hondo Tx! They always make sure to show me what test they recommend to do with clear cut prices and if I’m not comfortable with it, then I don’t have to do it and they will find me a better solution and they always try to give me the best numbers for my babies!

BEWARE!!! TURNED DOWN MY DOG IN IMMEDIATE NEED OF MEDICAL CARE!!! THESE FOLKS NEED TO REMOVE “HOSPITAL” FROM THEIR NAME. My 8 year old male Labrador sustained a substantial injury to his paw and was bleeding profusely. The care he needed was well outside of my capabilities and scope of knowledge. I work in the Hondo area but live roughly two hours away. It was 8:00 Saturday morning and saw that Hondo Veterinary “Hospital” was open from 8:00-12:00 that day. After bandaging him up the best I could and heading into Hondo, I called at 8:00 to let them know I was on the way and his condition, only to be told that they would only see animals that have been there in the past and would not see us for any medical emergency. I am simply dumbfounded that any sort of “hospital” would deny medic

Our horse suffered an injury while out to pasture and by the time we brought her in, almost everywhere was closed or unwilling to come out to our ranch, when we called hondo vet, they got a team ready and were waiting for us at the vet clinic! They got our girl stitched up and took such great care of her and us!!! Dr Tagle is now our new vet for ALL of our animals, thank you so much!! Star says thank you too!
