I don’t even know where to start other than saying I don’t understand the negative reviews on here, because what I experienced was the total opposite — and then some. Hobart Animal Hospital is literally heaven-sent to our baby and to us. Our rescued pocket bully, Emmie, needed a blood transfusion, emergency surgery to remove her uterus, and round-the-clock care. From the moment we walked in, the entire staff made everything about her — gentle, caring, and determined to save her life. They worked with us financially, accepted CareCredit, and their prices were unbelievably reasonable for the huge level of care we received. There are not enough wonderful things I can say about Dr Wozniak. I brought my dog into Hobart Animal Clinic in the middle of the night with a giant abscess in his mouth. Our normal vet was out of town and our dog needed emergency care. The staff was kind, attentive and quickly realized the severity of the situation. After being evaluated, I took him home at 1 AM and brought him back at 7:30 AM where he had already been assigned to have surgery with Dr. Wozniak. It wound up being a pretty major surgery where the bones in his gums had to be restored and 4 teeth had to be removed. To say we were terrified was an understatement. Excellent experience! Firstly, the receptionist was very knowledgeable about a relatively niche situation (international health certificates for travel). She gave my wife and I the confidence to make the trip to clinic to have our pet evaluated by a USDA-accredited vet. Dr. Baisden did an amazing and very thorough job throughout the process. He understood what was required, had access to the electronic system (VEHCS) to complete documentation, and legitimately sat there for 2 hours and filled out the forms. A+ I won't mention names, but other clinics were requiring that we go through a broker (an extra $700.. some of which I'm certain the vet gets the cut). This is mainly just to give a heads up to those who are seeking euthanasia and the paw prints you receive from Hobart. I would highly recommend that if you want a memorial keepsake of your pet, please do so prior to taking them to Hobart. They no longer do the clay paw prints. They do a laser engraved paw print instead. When I picked up my cat's ashes I was surprised to see that. When I asked I was told they no longer did the clay, but do the laser engraved paw print. I was told that it was a SCANNED image of the paw print. I knew immediately it wasn't scanned at all. Once I made my way home I did call and asked for clarification again. I read reviews from every clinic before I decide to choose one gor my kitties. I never read so many negative or shall I say horribile reviews. When it is time to say goodbye forever to your loved one all the time you need should be given to you. No tech or vet should ever say your pet cannot hear you. You need to say these things. Nobody should come in the room. It's up to the grieving person to knock on the door to say it's time. I went there last year to take y niece to say farewell to her cat she loved more than anything. All the time she needed was given to her. A tech came in the rom with the vet to administer the good by shot. She was grinning ear to ear and said it don't take long it's fast.
