Hillside Veterinary Hospital

This clinic is the best veterinary experience we’ve ever had. We have been driving across town for years to go here. Their doctors and staff are of the highest calibre. They genuinely care about your pets and treat them as their own. They are patient and kind and listen to all your concerns. They consistently go above and beyond to take care of pets and their owners.

I can’t say enough good things about this place and their staff! I had a previous bad experience with a different vet. Hillside staff actually properly diagnosed my kitten and gave her the proper treatment. They also took the time to answer all of my questions and validated my concerns about the other vet being wrong. She had a fairly simple issue that the other vet hadn’t been able to catch. Thanks to the hillside staff at their urgent care, my kitten is feeling better than she has in months!

Updated: As their response shows, they continue to frame this solely as a “me problem,” take no accountability, and rely on rigid policy rather than concern or collaboration. Their response reinforces the core issue raised in my review. This could have been an opportunity to reflect on safety and how legitimate health concerns are handled in the future, but that does not appear to be their focus. I’d also like to clarify that during one of my first visits, the vet who saw my cat emphasized the importance of fragrance-free litter due to cats’ sensitive noses. At least one vet there (not the one I saw most recently) is aware fragrance is problematic for pets. Regardless, fragrance is a well-documented skin irritant (this was a topical product) and respiratory irritant, known to trigger hive

At our recent appointment Oggy saw a new veterinarian, “Dr. Samantha” who we really liked. I have been taking my dogs to Hillside (all 5) since 1996 & Dr. Samantha’s care reflected the type of care that has kept me going back to Hillside for all these years even though it is over a half hour drive for me. Dr. Samantha took plenty of time to listen to all of my concerns, answer all of my questions & reassure me about some of my worries that were more about “old age” issues than actual illness concerns. Dr. Samantha also cited recent research regarding Oggy’s issues & her overall care reflected strong veterinary knowledge. I look forward to Dr. Samantha’s care in the future. Hillside Veterinary Hospital was great getting my pet, Louie, in quickly to resolve a recurring ailment. They followed up daily on his progress. I can't thank them enough for the care they provided. Louie is back to his old self and enjoying life. Excellent caring staff and Veterinarians!
