Highway hounds doesn't care about rescuing dogs, they care about the money. The owner blocked me on Facebook after realizing they were at fault for killing my dog. My dog went missing on Wednesday August 20th and I called several times looking for my dog. I spoke with someone at the city on Friday, August 22nd and they stated someone would call me about picking up my dog. I waited all evening Friday and the whole weekend, expecting to pick up my dog. On Monday, August 25th, I call the city and they said the shelter picked up my dog. They gave me Susan's number and I called multiple times. She called me back and told me that my dog was euthanized that morning. She blamed the city stating that no one told her that I was looking for my dog. The city blamed her saying that my dog wasn't aggres

I adopted Cris Tucker the beginning of this year. He is energetic playful pup that's not quite 2 years old. I am a widow of two years living by myself. My family found Highway Hounds on the Internet and we all drove over to the shelter to pick out a pu for my Birthday. Tucker was trained to use a doggy door&Crate which is big plus for an 81 year old lady. He is the love of my life. I recommend them fully.

Highway hounds it’s such a great rescue in the Fort Worth, Weatherford area. The volunteers and fosters with this group try to give second chances to those that are on the euthanasia list of most shelters in the area. They try to help adopt out and transfer animals to loving homes. Such a great experience fostering for them!!! I love this rescue ❤️

We just adopted our sweet girl Sundae (formerly known as "Doodle") from Highway Hounds. The volunteers worked patiently with us to find the right dog for our family, even letting us introduce our older dog to the puppy to make sure they would be a good match. The adoption process was smooth, and we are so happy with our new family member.

I reached out for help with rehoming my cat and was immediately met with hostility and rudeness. If you need help rehoming an animal avoid these people.
