Came here with my mother on a trip last year and really liked this place for our pups. So, I decided to come back this year with my boyfriend because I adore NC and the Highlands are beautiful. However, I was extremely disappointed by our interaction with the young girl who was working. We told her we were from Louisiana and she asked where we were staying while in NC. Upon telling her a family friend owns the property we’re staying at, she called it “the ghetto” and was extremely rude to us. It made us very uncomfortable and disgusted at such entitled, snobby behavior.
