We recently adopted a Belgian malinois and anyone who knows this breed knows they can be high strung and intimidating. Upon walking in, the presence of the vet techs welcoming her made her feel calm and right at home. We truly had such a positive experience. We feel so fortunate Dr. Jacobson is right in our neighborhood and will be our vet for our dog. Extremely knowledgeable and kind. All the staff were friendly and patient. If you live in Akron or the area, I highly recommend! Also, I noticed people noting the costs. This is the by far most affordable vet I’ve been to in the Akron area. The $65 “fee” simply gets applied to your services/deducted from the cost of your visit (if that clears up anyone’s confusion). Again, nothing but positive things to say! We made an appointment for our old sick dog to be seen and laid to rest. The staff was overwhelmingly supportive, empathetic, and accommodating. They gave us and our old friend so much grace and comfort in what was one of our hardest moments. I cannot recommend this team enough.

We decided to transfer our pet care to Highland Square Vet because it’s conveniently located near our home. When I made the initial appointment, the receptionist assured me that they would contact our previous vet to obtain our cat’s records so they could administer the necessary vaccines and treatments. However, upon our arrival, we were placed in a general waiting room with dogs, and our cat was understandably panicking. I had to request to be moved to an exam room. After waiting 45 minutes past our scheduled appointment time, we finally saw the vet. To our dismay, the vet informed us that they didn’t have our cat’s records. The staff and especially the woman working the front desk are incredibly kind and efficient. I brought my cat in this morning pretty panicked and they were reassuring and took great care of her. I recommend this place to any pet owner especially the anxious ones

I have a diabetic cat (Lance) and my Vet was out of town. I called Highland Vet Clinic, and they set me up with an appointment and were very helpful in my time of need! I would definitely recommend them if you are looking for a knowledgeable, caring pet clinic! I found them to be very reasonably priced. We have 5 dogs and 2 cats and with Lance being diabetic we are at the Vet's office quite often.
