Dr Floyd has been my poodle’s vet since he was born and before that she cared for my two exotic parrots. Dr Floyd is compassionate, gentle but direct. She gives the tests that are needed but doesn’t “overprescribe” treatments. Both me & my pet feel much better after a visit to Dr Floyd. I recommend Highland Animal Hospital as a knowledgable health maintenance facility for your pet.

Staff are all very pleasant and welcoming. Treatment options are discussed, with pros and cons outlined. Vets are exceptional and very gentle. My 16 year old cat is alive today because of the great care he receives at Highland Animal Hospital!

Our 8 year old Golden Retriever has been a patient of Highland Animal Hospital’s for many years now. We have seen almost all the providers for everything from checkups to surgeries, and they have always treated her and us with care. All of the providers have been clear communicators, and the vet technicians are always very gentle and sweet with our pup. We have also used the boarding services in the past which are a great alternative if you cannot have in-home care. Pricing is on par with another animal hospital we used for a few years while living in Virginia, and I have not found there to be any surprise costs. We’ve been going to Highland Animal Hospital for many years and have always had great experiences. The front desk staff is friendly and welcoming, and the vets and technicians are thorough, kind and patient. Especially with our mini dachshund, Sayde, who really dislikes vet visits and can be a bit challenging. We truly feel listened to, supported and confident in the care Sayde receives.

This Veterinary center was very accommodating, clean, professional, well mannered and empathetic. We recently visited the vet and had to hear some tough news. They aren’t just about making a bunch of money or a profit taking advantage of their customer base. They were very understanding and extremely accommodating. The staff was professional and personable. The doctor was experienced and very knowledgeable. They even followed up after with a written summary of our appt and prepared thoroughly reviewing our dogs history before we met. I am extremely satisfied with the thoroughness and the time the doctor spent with us and didn’t feel rushed at all. We just recently moved to MA from CA and will definitely plan for all our pet care here to be at Highland Animal Hospital and provide a shining
