Heartland Humane Society

A dog was posted on Sunday, (facility was clossd) Applications stopped on Monday (facility was closed) as there is a process and there were so many applications. Tuesday I stopped at the opening at noon just to meet the dog, thinking it would be a bit before the “process” of sorting through applications would be complete. I was told the dog had been adopted on Monday when they were closed. Hmmmm. Would not recommend.

my fiance and i just adopted our literal dream dog from HHS! the staff were incredibly helpful and knowledgeable regarding the various dogs in the shelter and their various stories. they were amazing!! thank you!!

We adopted our new pup here last weekend and I was highly impressed with their facility compared to others! They had roomy indoor/outdoor runs for almost all of their dogs, and even kiddie pools in most. They also had a large area for exercise/play. The dogs were clearly loved and very well cared for. It was a name your price for dogs over 6 months so we were able to adopt him for a great price. Thank you for helping complete our family Heartland! ❤️

If I honestly could give no stars I would. The woman was rude, continued to scream at me and have an attitude. Maybe she shouldn’t have promised a spot for an animal then dodged mine and my husbands calls for 4 straight days. Saying she “couldn’t” call us back on the day she said she would even though she gave us her personal number.
