Heartland Animal Hospital

To start, I did appreciate Dr. Cuddihee (she is exempt from this poor review). She did seem knowledgeable, caring and appeared to express true concern. However. I would not recommend this vet office as a whole. Especially for boarding. From the receptionists tone being laced with attitude everytime I called, to the fact that I had to pick up my brothers dog 2 days early because they were not capable of administering his medication or keep him clean often enough post surgery (in their defense he is a big dog with a very intimidating growl). When a complication arose (a hematoma) from surgery, he needed more hands on care/cleaning. When that did not happen, it progressively got worse/more inflamed to the point his scrotum was the size of a softball and bright red when I picked him up. My br

We recently noticed a stray cat living on our property. The cat loved attention and seemed undernourished so we decided to take it to a vet. I called Heartland and they booked us for the next day. All of the staff were extremely nice, friendly and helpful. Their facilities were very clean with a waiting room and an examination room designed for cats. The technician and Dr Jorgensen did a thorough examination of the cat, recommended and gave the appropriate vaccinations and scheduled a spay procedure. I am very pleased with the entire experience!

I have 2 older cats and have used this vet for 5 yrs. I have had a few issues, but always try. This last time I took my cats in, they charged me for a no show visit. I take the cats in 1 a yr for shots and deworm, I had NOT missed a visit. They said when a cat gets to be over 7 yrs old they want to see them 2 a yr. I said but I only want a 1 time a yr visit. They told me then I will always pay for a missed visit??? How can they charge you for a visit you do not make? I have changed vets. They are after money, money, money.

We love Heartland! They saved my pup’s life. No one thought she’d make it, but after a long surgery…she pulled through. The staff at Heartland have always been kind and explain everything very well. I’ve used them for dog boarding as well and they did a great job at an affordable price! I highly recommend them for anyone looking for a good vet in Ashland.

The staff at Heartland Animal Hospital are the best! They are always so helpful, friendly and take great care of my little dog! I need to use their boarding services often, and they go above and beyond to pamper my dog when I leave him with them! They give him extra love and cuddles when he’s there!
