Unfortunately, I cannot recommend this practice. Communication is extremely poor — phone calls often go unanswered, messages are left, and callbacks are inconsistent at best. I brought one of my dogs in for what we believed could be a recurrence of Lyme disease. The test came back negative, but I was then led to believe something else was seriously wrong. After nearly $1,000 in additional testing, nothing was found. She's now fine (other than aging) My French bulldog was later brought in with paralysis in her hind legs. We were told to put her down and that she “wouldn’t have a life.” We left and took her to Cornell Emergency Hospital instead. They performed surgery, diagnosed a UTI, and today she is walking. Our cat was not feeling well last week. They were able to get her in quickly. The Vet & staff were so kind and provided compassionate care for our cat! They were also able to help me prioritize the testing to stay within my budget. We sure appreciate all they did for us in helping our cat get back to her spicy self! My experience at Heart of Gold Veterinary Clinic was truly amazing. I know where they got their name from. Jess has a true heart of Gold. My dog Snoopy had an emergency and I needed a vet. I call Heart of Gold and they got us right in. I was a wreck not knowing what was going on. But from the minute we walked in, I felt welcomed. There is a warmth to the place when you walk in. Matthew made me feel at ease, while Jess explained what would happen. They took extra time with me even though they were busy. I can not recommend them enough. We have found our new Veterinarian

If I can give Dr Gulvin and her staff more stars, I would! Dr Gulvin has always been able to assist with both of my dogs. When I leave them in her care, I know they are safe and in the best hands. Dr Gulvin has always treated us and our dogs with care and respect, and if she cannot help, she has a great referrals to people who can. They also have a great new facility that they put so much love into. If you are looking for a new vet, look no further! I travel over 45 minutes one way to get there and it’s worth it every time. Jess was absolutely incredible to work with after my 11 year old cocker spaniel fell ill suddenly. We had been aware that his time was coming but I didn’t expect to need a vet so soon, and so last minute. Heart of Gold Veterinary Care waited for us, as I lived over an hour away, to come and have my dog euthanized. No other vets were willing to take him and I had a feeling he wasn’t going to make it through the night. They let us spend as much time with him as we needed, and they were so compassionate about explaining the process to us as I had never been through it previously. They were very sincere at pickup too for his ashes, and everything done through the cremation service they use was absolutely beautiful.
