Have-a-Heart Humane Society

Love their thrift store and their fur babies! I have scored so many great items at the thrift here for such a great price and sometimes they have half off days! I adopted two of my love bugs here and would recommend them to anyone looking for a furry friend.

I just adopted a little dog from there. I paid 150 for the adoption which was more than fair. The problem was the vet bill three days later. His ears were so infected that he stunk. He was in a lot of pain. Don’t tell me they didn’t know.

This is such a great place! They take donations for their thrift store, which benefits the animals they rescue. It's a no-kill shelter, and the animals you see in their store actually get go home every night with foster families rather than being stuck in cages. The volunteers are helpful and friendly, the animals adorable, and the store has a large ever-changing selection of wonderful finds.

Great thrift store, very nice staff, and they occasionally do 1/2 priced days which is wonderful! They also take card payments which makes it very easy to shop here.

I’ve been familiar with this wonderful place for 7 years since I’ve been in Tehachapi and now they have an even bigger and more convenient location. The spay and neuter part of their business is SO NEEDED in our community and that is doing a great service to our town. I always try to drop off quality goods that they can sell. On the other hand, I am always pleased with the great amount of items they have for sale that I have purchased for my own household use and for friends in need.
