Hatteras Island Pet Resort

Our dogs have been staying here at least once a year for 10+ years now. They are always well-cared for and happy to be there, and the staff (special shout-out to Elaine!) truly love animals. This is their vacation home away from home and we love that at the end of our beach trip we can get the pups bathed and groomed. Also appreciate the daily Facebook pictures!

The BEST boarding facility around. When I can take my dogs on vacation with me I do, but when I go places that I unfortunately can’t bring them I drive an hour and forty minutes to drop them off here. While there are plenty of places to board near me I know the women here will treat my pups like their own. I can always checkout their facebook page for daily pictures (except Caturday because the cats need their day to pose for the pawparazzi) I’ve personally seen the back kennel and play yard which not only looked so clean it smelled super clean (which when you have 20+ dogs at a time, means you’re staying on top of your cleaning duties) I’m definitely a helicopter mom so I email quite often, and I always hear back in a timely manner, I even sometimes get pictures sent with the response ☺️.

Not sure what we would do without Hatteras Island Pet Resort. They have the best team, most responsive staff, and they LOVE animals. If I have ever had a question, I can always call them (if it’s not on their comprehensive website already) to ask. They are extremely responsive. Above all, my dog Cooper loves everyone there. It is a home away from home for my pup and I trust them wholeheartedly. Cooper is always so well groomed and cared for that he gets excited to go each summer.

Amazing place for boarding. We stay on Hatteras multiple times a year. Once in a while we book last minute and can’t find a pet friendly rental, we always feel confident our dog receives great care at the Pet Resort. We stop by to see him, the staff gives us updates, and the whole facility has a great vibe. We highly recommend.

This was our first boarding experience so we were nervous. HIPR was incredible and we are so glad we chose them! All of the staff are wonderful! They have things down to a science and made the drop-off and pick-up stress free. We were able to pick our pup up during the day to hang at the beach. What really made us happy was how she responded to all of the amazing staff when we came back in the evenings. It made our vacation so enjoyable even on days we didn’t pick her up, we felt confident she was taken care of and in great hands. We will definitely be using HIPR for years to come!
