I already have a vet but I had heard some good things about this practice from some people on nextdoor neighborhood. And I also heard that they weren't owned by a corporation like the other two veterinary businesses in Port Townsend that are. And that since they weren't owned by corporations I should give them a call because they might be cheaper. I had gone to this veterinary practice when the former vet owned and operated it. I first checked out the website and found that there were a decent amount of staff not a big stuff but two or three people plus vet tech and receptionist and I read all about them and I thought I would give them a try they look pretty nice. Great vet and staff! My vet of 24 years retired and I have been searching for a vet who is not only kind, compassionate, experienced and skilled, but takes the time to explain things to me. Dr. Lauren is/does all of the above. It is refreshing not to have deal with a corporately owned clinic. The pricing is affordable, not ridiculously expensive like the corporately owned clinics. I couldn't be more satisfied with the care my animals receive here.

Dr. Lauren saved our kitty Loki's life! When our 6 month old Bengal became lethargic and bloated we took him in and he was immediately diagnosed with FIP (Feline infectious peritonitis, it's a viral disease of cats caused by certain strains of a virus called the feline coronavirus). This is a nasty virus that if undiagnosed and allowed to progress will take your cats life. We are so fortunate that Dr. Lauren's Vet Tech "Kim" had seen it before through her work at a rescue org. Very few vets have actually physically examined my pet. Dr. Lauren is wonderful. She explains things clearly and clearly cares. Communication was stellar. Not only did they report back with test results, they sent the actual results. My poor health elderly cat is back to his old self! He was diagnosed with feline diabetes during a pre-op blood test for tooth issues. I was offered a fairly new medication (senvelgo) and everything was explained well. I did my own research and learned that many people had horrible experiences with the medications, primary because their vet didn't explain everything and didn't follow up with monitoring. Unfortunately I cannot leave a glowing review like the others. I had a very traumatic experience as a result of Dr. Clark’s quick and inaccurate diagnosis of pyro in my young lab. Dr. Clark advised emergency surgery on a Friday night. We were frantic trying to find a surgeon that night and weren’t able to do so partially due to doubt of the urgency of the diagnosis. We spent thousands of dollars and my poor dog spent the weekend in ER unnecessarily. It turned out she had a case of vaginitis not pyro. This has been resolved with antibiotics and she is fine. I write this not to bad mouth someone but to raise awareness around ovary sparing spays which my dog had.
