I dropped of my two dogs at this place on 8/1/25 at 5pm. I felt a red flag when I met them at outside. The woman — she’s name is Trisha !!! wouldn’t let me go inside to check out the place..So I left . When I came back from my trip to pick up my babies (dogs) at yesterday 3pm. They weren’t acting normal. so when I got home, my boy dog was licking his paws and acting anxious.and he looks very sad . So I gave him a bath and found a lump on his right elbow So I took him to the vet and they found what the vet says was an insect bite. so when I try to contact her about the issue, she’s blocked me now. Our 8 month old purebred English Retriever came back from boarding with open wounds on his neck. The boarders tried to claim he might have gotten his head stuck in the crate that he was kept in. The boarder even admitted she has cut herself on the crate because it has sharp, rusted edges. Based on their story and the picture of the crate they sent us, the story just didn’t add up. We ended up with an emergency vet bill of over $500. The vet said the wounds were consistent with negligent use of a shock collar. The boarders denied these claims and never once apologized for what happened. After a few phone calls and pictures of our dog’s neck, they did partially refund us for the boarding. We have a 12 pound Chiweenie and she loves staying at Happy Tails. When we drop her off, she goes right in the house. No looking back. She stayed there for 2 weeks this last time and we had zero problems. Our dog hates getting her nails cut so much that we had to sedate her in the past. Happy Tails cut her nails without distress. We recommend this place.

My dog has been going to happy tails for a couple of years now and has always come back happy and well cared for. Even after longer 2 plus weeks stays he never seems egger to leave just happy to get home. I can tell he enjoys his stays.

We just used Happy Tails Doggy Care again for a long weekend and had a great experience! Our girls were so excited to be there for another stay! No issues!
