Happy Hounds Lodge

My dog loves coming here for boarding or daycare. The staff are genuine dog lovers and always put me and my pup at ease during drop off and pick ups. I love seeing the photos theh capture of the friends playing too! I have used them for a day drop off, a long weekend, and almost 2 weeks. My dog comes home happy and exhausted!

Happy Hounds Lodge rejected both my dogs on an introduction visit. I have a Rottie and a Pit bull. My Rottie is usually calm. This day he was hyped . They had the Pitbull running with other dogs, the Rottie is use to running with the Pit. I guess he was barking and foaming and they found him hard to handle. Oh, they also said the Pit was humping other dogs. Bottom line, they could board the Pit and normal fee but the Rottie would be more expensive. All this is based on their observation. I was not there. Were they targeted because of the breed or the color of the owners.

My dog has been coming here since 2021 following a recommendation from a friend. Of all the places my dog has been boarded, both here in the USA and abroad, this is hands down the best! The beautiful country locale provides a peaceful location for my pup to stay. While she gets along with other dogs, she isn’t super rambunctious. However, she is always happy to see her friends at Happy Hounds and is relaxed while staying here. She always comes home happy and smiling. The staff are warm, knowledgeable, and clearly care for their charges. My dog remembers each of the staff members and demonstrates with her body language the trust and affection she has for them.
