This is an absolutely wonderful facility! Jeanne is dedicated to the health and well being of the 100+ cats in her care. My daughter got two cats from Happy Hearts and they've become wonderful members of her family. The facilities are clean and well kept, as are the cats! Thank you, Jeanne, for your big heart and selflessness!

I adopted my cat, Tippy, from there about 12 years ago and it was a good experience. Tippy is still healthy and thriving, however, when we went to adopt another cat two years ago, the owner who seems to think she is a vet, denied us because she said upon reading Tippy’s vet records, she felt we had not given her proper care. This was after we had spent several thousand dollars for radioactive thyroid tumor treatment. I spoke with our vet then and with Arbor Hills Vets two weeks ago after Tippy’s comprehensive senior checkup and they said she was in great shape including her teeth which the owner at Happy Felines claimed were in very bad shape??? They made room for a young cat whose kittens went to a vet to be taken care of, but that couldn’t take the mom because no one knew if she was feral or not. They slowly gained her trust, socialized her, and gave her proper nutrition and care. She was a beautiful cat, and she got adopted into a wonderful home. They were the only rescue around who is willing to help Stormy and I will be forever grateful.

Today I had my friend call around to try and find a shelter who will take my father's cat since he passed away and I am not able to take her home with me to California. I have been calling many friends and no-kill shelters, on top of everything else I'm dealing with when you lose both parents within 2 years of eachother, and working a full-time job. Unfortunately ALL shelters have been full. When my friend called happy hearts, the lady she talked to showed no compassion for my situation and started telling my friend I should fly the cat back with me (after being told that isn't an option for me) or pay for the cat to be transported to my place in California (how is that better than flying her myself?). I can't afford either option, and am not allowed to have more than one animal in my hous

Trying to find a place for my kitty since he is getting sicker and I can afford it anymore. And reading your site, you people are awful! You give them only so long before you put the animal down?! That's disgusting!
