My experience with this practice: My two year old Golden Retriever died of kidney failure caused by Lyme disease. The vet specifically recommended for my second puppy that the Lyme vaccine (stating he gives it to "pretty much any dog that wags its tail") with tick meds to prevent this from happening in the future, yet he never administered that vaccine to my dog in the two years under his care. This oversight was a failure to provide necessary defense against a fatal illness. Questioning again, why he didn't recommend the vaccine. Additionally, I raised concerns at two separate appointments that my other 3 month old puppy was not gaining weight. I was told he looked "fine." Turns out, he had worms. This vet practice is top notch. They were very compassionate, reliable and professional. I'm glad I have a safe place to take my animals. My only advice is to make sure you're a existing customer. Otherwise the closest emergency vet as far as I know is winchester. This is a policy at most vet offices I have went to.

Yesterday was my first ever visit. I went to the Romeny location. My neighbor caught a tiny feral kitten in a trap on Monday evening. I called Hampshire Animal Hospital/Hi-Rock Animal Hospital on Tuesday morning, hoping to get in quickly to have the baby checked out to make sure she was healthy. The lady who answered the phone was very helpful and sweet and she was so kind to squeeze us in the very next day. On the appointent day, I called when I arrived in the parkinglot as instructed. They met me outside to get our new patient info almost immediately. I was then called inside for the exam within just minutes. I hardly had to wait at all. Got my dog spayed and the owner said “bring her back in 2 weeks to my romney office to get stitches out” today makes 2 weeks and they are trying to make me drive an hour to the Rawlings office. They are liers, disrespectful as can be, and not reliable. I am changing vets. Highly do NOT recommend!
