I took my senior cat in who was losing weight rapidly, was lethargic, and was deteriorating very quickly. Dr. Barrs ran some expensive tests (probably more than he needed to in order to jack up the price) and flatly informed me my cat was diabetic and basically I could start insulin treatments (which were incredibly expensive) or if I’d rather he could help me with the end of life care for my cat. Thankfully, I chose neither, paid, and left. After doing research, it turns out all my cat needed was a switch to wet food instead of dry. Several months later, my cat has stopped losing weight uncontrollably, is back to a healthy weight, and acts several years younger than his age. Dr. Barrs completely lacked empathy, was very passive aggressive and rude, and suggested what was best for his own

This facility and the staff are wonderful. In my area, ear cropping is not something many will consider at all. The one vet that will do the procedure doesn’t typically do Doberman crops, and only does 1-2 crops annually on average between all breeds, however they do advise against the procedure. That wasn’t what I was looking for with my baby, I wanted him to have the most comfortable experience and minimal posting from someone who has plenty of experience. After lots of research within the Doberman communities online and a raving recommendation from someone local to me, I reached out. Scheduling was an ease, the girls I spoke with made everything simple for me. I did have to travel quite a bit, but after meeting the staff and realizing they have the knowledge that made me comfortable I f

Very friendly staff. Dr. Barrs provides very good service for a fair price and he takes time to talk about care options without upselling specialty food or drugs. They're very rurally located but the drive is worth the service.

I asked him to cut my Cane Corso ears long, he said he doesn't cut them short. She is a Cane Corso but she is not a war dog he cut her ears battle crop. Lower than it ever should have been.

I began using this vet when Dr Hall was still there. I continued after he left but Dr Barr is very dry and has no bed side manners. He has no connection to the animal, seems to have no care. I recently took my fur baby to see him and at that appointment I decided it would be my last. He was so rude and talked over me. Called me a liar when I told him what one of the ladies at the front desk had told me when I called and made the appointment. I didn’t argue with him although he was wrong and out of place. However when I went to check out, the ladies at the front desk agreed I was right and they had told me what I was saying and they didn’t understand why he was so hateful to me.
