Guthrie Animal Shelter

The property and kennels are SO clean! Looked and smelled better than some of the boarding kennels we've used. One of the deputies was outside hosing off the grounds. The dogs looked healthy and were playing in the yard. The kennels inside were clean and the entire place smelled fresh and clean. A great place to rescue your next family member.

The workers were SUPER helpful. We were initially just looking for our lost dog Stella but ended up adopting another fur baby. They went above and beyond to work with us. Even came in on a Saturday so we could adopt Reign. We did end up finding our lost dog and now she has a bestie of her own. 🤗Our dog is so much happier we are so much happier and it's all because their staff took a little extra time to make it all possible. ❤️

I have contacted animal control on multiple occasions regarding the dogs at 1317 E. Oklahoma Ave. that bark excessively during the day and throughout the night. Despite providing more than enough evidence for action to be taken, nothing has been done. These dogs are also frequently allowed to run loose in the neighborhood without supervision, chasing people and creating a safety hazard. Calls often go unanswered, and in many cases, no one even shows up. This lack of response demonstrates poor accountability and failure to fulfill basic duties to the community.

We just want to say thank you to the wonderful staff and give a HUGE shoutout to animal control officer Kaylee! She went above and beyond for us. She is truly an angel 🥹 Please adopt your animals from here! 💕

The ladies at this shelter are truly amazing with the animals. We just adopted Finn. He is very well mannered and such a beauty!
