Groton City Animal Hospital

We use Groton for both our cat and our alpacas. The vets at Groton are kind, caring, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend if you are looking for a compassionate and affordable vet!

Compassionate, great communication and great care. My dog Jimi can be a handful and has leash/barrier frustration reactivity. They are wonderful with making sure we are the only ones in the waiting room. Last October he had a medical emergency and they were fantastic with him and helping us get in at Cornell. It was a very scary situation and they helped ease my mind. Jimi loves going there, even after his scary medical episode. He gets very excited on the car ride and knows the smells in route to the vet office. We were originally referred by Karen Gellman for our last dog's tooth removal. Groton City did a wonderful job with that too. We previously had a horrible experience for a tooth removal with a different vet.

We've been trusting Groton City Animal Hospital with our babies for years. I've been to a number of veterinarians locally and these folks treat your pet (and you) like you matter. Appointments are always easy to schedule, they're prompt to get you into your room, and thorough in the examination room. We couldn't ask for a better group of people to work with, all our animals love them.

Dr Kathy was great with my mare, she asked her diet, her work schedule, what her over all life does and has looked like since I’ve had her. Even though it was just an exam I felt heard and that they were genuinely interested in horse as a whole.

Dr. Austin is an excellent communicator. She asks a lot of questions in order to fully understand Primrose’s needs. She also is very detailed in explaining a diagnosis and her thoughts. She treats Primrose with respect and kindness. We always feel that Primrose is getting top notch care with Dr. Austin and her team.
