Great Lakes Dog Training has been a huge blessing to our family and dogs. We had both our dogs trained here. Our first dog Blue, started his training due to unfortunate circumstances. We were on vacation in another country when the boarding facility that we have always used with him called us to say that we needed to have someone pick him up due to his reactivity. He had not this issue before but luckily I called Jacob and he was able to personally pick up Blue from the facility and put him through their two week program while we enjoyed the rest of our trip. Everyone has been so great with my dog. The owner, Liz, is very kind and personable. Jamie was the main trainer with my German Shepherd, and every time she sees Jamie she is crazy excited to see her. I know that they are taking good care of her. I am sending my other dog to see her, too! I have been so happy with the amount of improvement in my dog's behavior!

Our nine month old golden retriever Winnie grew so much during her 18 day stay at GLDT. Owners Jacob and Liz treated Winnie as if she were their own dog. We really wanted them to focus on Winnie’s fear of everything outdoors and being able to walk beyond our driveway with confidence. Less than a month after being home, Winnie is taking 2 mile walks - something we’d never expect. She is calmer, a better listener, and we now feel we have so many more tools to support her in becoming the happy and successful dog we know she was meant to be. My dogs absolutely love going to Great Lakes Dog Training! They have both done training as well as continue to board with them when we are out of town. They give us peace of mind to know our dogs are in good hands and we love getting pictures/report cards of what they are doing while away! We recommend them to everyone.
