He boarded and trained our German Shorthaired Pointer ahead of hunting season, focusing on both obedience and exposure to wild birds, and the progress we saw was impressive. Derek is outstanding to work with. We sent our Brittany to Granite State Gun Dogs last year for obedience and bird training and were extremely pleased with the results. Derek is the best! The only place we trust to board our hunting dog. The facilities are awesome. Very clean and a very nice training room. Also some communal runs for socializing. You would be hard pressed to find a better bargain for boarding AND training. Our pup always comes back better mannered than we left him. I have also used Derek for help training my dog. Our family purchased a puppy from Derek out of a Gambler and Nina litter. Derek has helped us transform that puppy into a very useful hunting companion. Our puppy now at 19 months is also very easy at home to live with and we enjoy him immensely. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a hunting dog to work with Derek.

Our young setter needed lots of guidance and so did we- Derek was very experienced, understood what we all needed and worked with us through the stages of training- we also boarded both dogs at his kennel which is atop notch facility.
